most idiot-proof - way of getting sound from Omnisphere on my PC that won't require too much technical ability and know-how? I really did think it would be as simple as installing the discs, connecting the keyboard by USB to my PC and then synthesizing away.I thought I didn't need anything else and that I could get to grips with DAWs at a later date, but clearly I was wrong! So my question is: what is the simplest - ie. It was mainly to learn piano, but also as a controller to use with Omnisphere. SSD Free is a virtual drum instrument based on the full version of SSD. Steven Slate Drums has released the updated version of SSD Free, a freeware drum kit virtual instrument based on the premium SSD 5.5 software. I've added a new location where I have stored SSD5 vst but still cant vew it in my Instrument section of Studio One. One other point, of course, is that the SSD4 kits include cymbals, whereas the Trigger sounds don't.I've installed Steven Slate SSD5. You can get SSD4 Platinum right now for just $99. Having said all that, you might not be aware, but Slate is having a sale on all his drum products right now. It sounds like these would be virtually identical methods, but I've found that Trigger seems to respond more accurately to actual wav files on audio tracks, rather than sounds as they happen (via aux tracks).
The other way, which I've found works better, is to print those other programs individual tracks to audio (record them to audio tracks). With those other drum programs, split them out to individual aux tracks, and insert Trigger on each track as needed.Ģ. However, you can use any drum program like SSD4, or EZ Drummer, etc., and use that to trigger Trigger (no pun intended).
